Coach Vice begins his 23rd year as the coach of the Mavericks and 33rd as a teacher in the SDUHSD. A teacher of AP U.S. History and College Prep U.S. History at LCC he is also the JV academic team coach and Head track coach overseeing the distance events. 

Previously Coach Vice was the boys head basketball coach at LCC as well as San Dieguito High School from 1991-1996. In 1982 he was an assistant coach for the Montville High (CT) girls state champion track team. From 1984-1986 he coached basketball,track and soccer at East Lyme (CT) High School. Coach Vice is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and received his Masters in Special Education from SDSU.

Coach Vice lives in Encinitas with his wife Amy and his two daughters, Madison 22 and Morgan 21.


Coach Emeritus: 

Coach Sisler enters his 32nd year of teaching and coaching in the San Dieguito UHSD. Bob now retired taught  math and social studies. He also served as the Head Track coach for the Mavericks for many years. Bob’s daugher Whitney was the 2007 California State Champion in the high jump. Bob was named the Southern California Assistant State Coach of the year for the 2015 Cross Country season.
